Built in 1935, Swartland House is one of the original houses in the Clarens. It has been beautifully restored to offer guests a charming blend of heritage and modern comfort.

Main House

Swartland House is a spacious fully equipped beautifully decorated house with a lovely open – plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. It has 5 bedrooms with 5 ensuite bathrooms. 4 Bedrooms have a king bed and the 5th bedroom has a queen bed. The veranda is a special place to enjoy your holiday from as it looks out over Mt Horeb mountain. The lounge is equipped with a beautiful fireplace. It has full premium DSTV. The main bedroom has it’s own fireplace. There is space for 2 single mattres.

This beautifully renovated house boasts a rich history while providing contemporary amenities for a memorable stay. Guests can unwind in the cozy interior with a large lounge and open plan kitchen, with three en suite bedrooms, ensuring privacy and convenience for all. Furthermore, as well as an enclosed stoep, the lounge and master bedroom both feature a wood burner for the colder winter months.

Swartland House offers WiFi, ensuring guests stay connected throughout their visit. The accommodation features both indoor and outdoor braai facilities, perfect for enjoying the property in all weather.

Minimum price per night is now R3 000 for up to 4 guests. After 4 guests it’s R750 pppn extra for each guest more than 4.

Weekends and longweekends: The rates are minimum 4 adults on weekend and long weekend.
